Tips to Tackle Bhang side effects

Holi is festival of colors, people enjoy playing with colors, having sweets and many other mouth watering dishes. On Holi many people also drink bhang and consume bhang recipes. Bhang is made with the leaves and buds of the cannabis plant. But over consumption of Bhang can give you aching head and nauseating stomach which can ruin the festive spirit. It’s always good to have bhang in moderate amount but still if you get hangover from it than here are some tips and remedies to get rid from it.    

Tips to get rid from Bhang side effects 

  1. It’s good to have Lemon water which is an excellent source of anti-oxidants and vitamin C that prevents formation of free radicals and cut the hangover. You can also eat lemon pickle or anything made from lemon. 
  2. Never have tea or coffee if you are suffering from bhang hangover as both contain strong caffeine that can have an adverse effect.
  3. Have Fruits and vegetables that rich in fiber and anti-oxidants that help counter intoxication. Have fruit salad or a green salad as it helps combat a hangover effectively.
  4. It’s good to go for a sound Sleep in a dimly lit, noiseless room which relaxes your mind and body and also reduces headache.
  5. Drink as much as water you can which flush out intoxicants from your body.  Have a cup of herbal tea such as rose tea or jasmine tea helps get rid of headache that result due to an overdose of bhang.  
  6. Never drink bhang or any alcohol as it hits you badly when you consume it empty stomach. But avoid having oily, fried and heavy food along with bhang as it can worsen the hangover.
  7. Have fresh fruit juice to increase your fructose intake. Mix apple juice, pineapple juice and honey and sip the drink to get instant relief from hangover. 
  8. Avoid any kind of pain killers to get rid from headache caused by intoxication. As taking pain killer can actually harm you if you suffer from a health complication.
  9. Take a warm bath which soothes your nerves and gives instant relief from dizziness and headache and helps you get rid of a hangover.
  10. If you feel nauseated, blend a banana and have it chilled or have a bowl of light soup.
